Speakers: Jim Young, He has among other degrees, a BA in Anthropology with some graduate-level work in linguistics. He has been hiking, guiding and exploring the southwest for over 40 years and currently spends his summers in Rocky Mountain

National Park as Park Naturalist on the West side in the Kawuneeche Valley. Winters are also spent on the West side as a Volunteer, leading snowshoe and ski tours and working with the Education Ranger on grade-school on-snow programs. Spring and fall - typically 4 to 6 weeks – he is usually in southern Utah, sometimes including volunteer

stewardship projects with the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance or a special youth project with the Navajo Nation but always including 2 weeks every spring and fall as resident ranger at Canyonlands National Park's most remote unit, Horseshoe Canyon, home to the Barrier Canyon style pictographs which include a large number of dog or dog-like images.

Location: Englewood Public Library, Perrin Room, 1000 Englewood Parkway, Englewood, CO 80110. The library is located on the first floor of the Englewood Civic Center Building (Google Map Link). The Civic Center Building can be reached via S. Broadway, W. Hampden Ave and S. Santa Fe Drive. There is free parking accessible from S. Inca Street (enter the building on the 1st floor) and S. Jason Street (enter the building on the 2nd floor and take
