Monday, June 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM MST - General Meeting (Hybrid)
Please join us for our June talk to be held in Room 101 in the Central Classroom Building on Auraria Campus. The best entrance is the Northwest entrance of the building facing the corner of Curtis Street and 10th Avenue Mall across from the Auraria Library. We will have people at the door to let you in starting at 6:30pm. There is construction next to the Central Classroom building, but the door is accessible. We also will try to be at the southwest door.
A campus map indicating the building’s location and available nearby parking is available at the top of this web page. Metered Parking is available at $2.00 per hour (4-hour maximum) on the north side of Cherry Creek Building and elsewhere. For lot parking before 5 pm it is $8.00 in the Holly Lot, the biggest and easiest to get to. At 5 pm it goes up to $20. Alternatively, the Colfax at Auraria light rail station is quite close by.
Speaker: Megan Mueller, Environmental Planner and Cultural Resource Specialist with the Cultural Resource Management firm, HDR.
Abstract: Archaeologist Megan Mueller will be discussing the recent discovery of a historic wooden water pipeline (5DV55493.1) uncovered during construction along Federal Boulevard in the historic Highlands neighborhood.
Upcoming Events:
July – There will be no board nor general meetings held in July. Meetings resume in August.
August – Denver-CAS will be hosting our annual joint meeting with the Egyptian Studies Society. Detailed information for this event will be posted as soon as they are confirmed.
