Colorado Archaeological Society

The Colorado Archaeological Society includes professional and avocational archaeologists as well as individuals interested in learning more about the practices and discoveries of archaeology.

The society encourages the study of Colorado archaeology and cooperates with state, academic and other organizations in sponsoring public field trips to archaeological sites, taking part in field investigations with surveying, mapping and excavations.

CAS also assists in the protection and curation of antiquities and archaeological resources within the state.  The Denver chapter maintains a chapter library and laboratory and provides education and training to CAS members and the public.

Membership is open to any person interested in archaeology and in agreement with our purposes and Code of Ethics.
